Dr. Andrew Doe

Andrew Doe, MD is a graduate from the State University of New York, Upstate Medical University. He is board certified in diagnostic radiology and has a certificate of added qualification in vascular and interventional radiology, which requires a year of additional training and board testing. During his training, he treated complex vascular malformations at a Harvard hospital, Boston Children’s Hospital and received his fellowship training under some of the world’s experts in interventional radiology.

Dr. Doe specializes in treating a number of diseases with a primary focus on treating uterine fibroids, PAD and vein disease (varicose veins). Dr. Doe moved to Houston to found Alate Health (formerly Houston Vascular & Interventional Radiology) in 2012. He takes pride in knowing that he has created a center where he can treat his patients with the most advanced technology available. When he’s not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife, daughters and practicing Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

Alate Health - Bryon Bohnn

Dr. Byron Bohnn

Byron Bohnn, M.D. is a board-certified diagnostic radiologist with over 30 years of experience. He graduated first in his class from University of Texas Medical School (UTMB) and completed an internship training at Harvard Medical School, Boston City Hospital followed by a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Bohnn is well-respected among his peers and colleagues for the exceptional care that he provides to his patients. As a result, he has been the recipient of many prestigious appointments at Park Plaza Hospital. These appointments include but are not limited to: Chief of Radiology, Chief of Staff at Park Plaza, and the Chairman of Patient Care. He continues to work on the patient care and quality assurance committee.

Dr. Bohnn has extensive experience in interventional radiology with a special interest in the treatment of leg pain. He has considerable experience successfully diagnosing and treating patients with symptomatic varicose veins and ulcers related to venous insufficiency. Dr. Bohnn was a co-founder of Plaza Vein Clinic and then Synergy Vein and Interventional Clinic. He is an expert at treating both arterial and venous occlusions. Lastly, Dr. Bohnn is highly skilled at the placement of PICC lines, central lines, port-a-caths, and dialysis catheters.

Alate Health - Dr. Kahlil

Dr. Kamal Khalil

Dr. Kamal Khalil previously held the position of Chief of Division of General Thoracic Surgery at the Department of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth). He is board certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery and American Board of General Vascular Surgery. Dr. Khalil sees patients in a five county radius, other parts of Texas, and internationally. Dr. Khalil focuses on providing personalized patient care. His patients are a high priority and are always put first.

Dr. Khalil has authored numerous publications and given many lectures. He is an active member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, M.D. Anderson Associates, American College of Surgeons, Southern Thoracic Surgical Association, Arab American Medical Association, Houston Surgical Society, and Texas Surgical Society. He has also received several awards throughout his career. In his spare time, Dr. Khalil enjoys tennis and gardening.

Alate Health - Tran Houng

Tran Hoang

Tran Hoang is a physician assistant certified by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Radiologic Sciences from Midwestern State University. She received her Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Texas Tech University Health Science Center and complete her clinical rotations in Abilene, TX.

Prior to becoming a physician assistant, Tran has had several years of healthcare experience working as a CT Technologist and Radiologic Technologist. She is a proud member of Texas Academy of Physician Assistant and Texas Society of Radiologic Technologist. In her spare time, Tran enjoys spending time with her family, travelling, and exploring new cuisines and cultures.

Alate Health - Ermanique Davis

Ermanique Davis

Ermanique Davis received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting degree from Texas Southern University with Cum Laude honors, and her Billing and Coding Certification at Everest Institute. At Everest Institute, she was #1 in her billing coding class with a 4.0 GPA.

Ermanique has 3 years of healthcare experience in billing, coding, insurance verification, authorization and office management. Due to her bright nature and great attitude, she rose from intern to Office Manager at Alate Health.

She is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She likes to keep patients happy and keep a smooth flow within the office. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, shopping and spending time with her family. In 2018, she plans to pursue her MBA in Human Resource Management.

Alate Health - Vanessa Cordoves

Vanessa Cordoves

Vanessa Cordoves has worked in the healthcare industry since 2003. She is originally from Miami, Florida where she was pursuing a degree in Health Care Administration at Miami-Dade College. Vanessa is dedicated to helping women find relief from fibroids. She takes pride in educating her patients regarding fibroids and all aspects of the uterine fibroid embolization treatment. Vanessa plans on returning to school to finish her degree and continue on the path of helping patients. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her family waiting for a table at the Taste of Texas. When she’s not eating steak, Vanessa and her husband can be found competing in your local Salsa contest.
